You may be aware that fungi and bacteria live and thrive on our bodies. We need these microbes to carry out normal day-to-day functions.

While they are not dangerous when present in controlled quantities, excessive multiplication leads to infections.

The fungal Candida genus is one such example. When it affects the skin, the condition is called cutaneous candidiasis.

It causes red itchy rashes, commonly in the folds of the skin, such as skin between the fingers, armpits, groin area, and corners of the mouth.

In severe infections, it can also lead to the formation of blisters and pustules on the skin. Moreover, it can also spread to other parts of the body if left untreated for long.

How Is Cutaneous Candidiasis of the Skin Diagnosed?

The diagnosis of this fungal infection is mostly dependent on the appearance of the skin and skin sampling depending on the part of the body that is affected.

I have listed some of the most common and effective home-based remedies to treat cutaneous candidiasis below.

Although, you should definitely consider seeing a medical professional if the condition persists.

Oral fluconazole also shows high efficacy in treating cutaneous candidiasis infection.

      Apple Cider Vinegar

A study has proven apple cider vinegar's action in inhibiting the growth of candida albicans. You can drink it directly, add it to your meals, or put it in a bath.
